Track # 1: Death Cab for Cutie - Meet Me On the Equinox
Already the first piece allows the more melancholy tone of the CD guess at least as regards the text, because coined by drums and guitar sound and the vocals are still fast and impulsive in comparison to the rest of the titles. Music and vocals are clear, consistent and well to listen.
5/5
Track # 2: Band of Skulls - Friends
The second song is probably the one who would be most likely to be compared with those in the Twilight OST because it is provided with heavier drums and guitar riffs that make it quick and impulsive. Likewise, the text is a nice tribute to friends quickly and clearly presented and to my mind pretty much the most cheerful and peppigste title of the disc.

Track # 3: Thom Yorke - Hearing Damage
With "Hearing Damage" of Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke, a first song with electric hints connects. The vocals are enhanced, but does not distort, so the lyrics are very noticeable and can stand out from the synthesizer sound, although they are recited quietly. The voice caresses here the text beautifully, by the unwavering view 'You can do no wrong' is sung sober and firm, with passages a la 'You wish you felt better' be more expressive, but in marginal frame, so that the eventual serenity by music, lyrics and vocals of songs this can be more insistent, I think. (The title reminds me incidentally sharply songs from V & V nation and I quite like to hear this band, I like so far be quite biased here, but for me is "Hearing Damage" one of the best tracks on the album.)
5/5
Track # 4: Lykke Li - Possibility
"Possibility" is a title which is tearing me admit: On the one hand I want to say that it's a great song, on the other hand he does not like me back. The text is sad, but beautiful and supported by deep, atmospheric piano chords music is melancholic. The song, however, not quite meet my taste. Although sung deep, but the vote itself is me at times too high for the gloom of the song. In addition, the voice is pretty rough, what you probably may have to - here you do not like me anyway. Also now and then emerging, long-drawn 'mmm' does not fit me. Without vocals I would have probably found the piece better, but this is ultimately a matter of taste anyway.

Track # 5: The Killers - A White Demon Love Song
About this track I was happy because I have The Killers only recently after the terrific "Human" discovered for myself and dear to us. All the better that you contribute something to the OST, I thought to myself. Brandon Flowers' vocals are quiet in this title, but expressive, especially in conjunction with the lyrics, which can bring book lovers a blissful showers. During the kick-off starts with a gentle piano music and almost delicate vocals, the piece towards the middle notes with stronger vocals (bass) guitar riffs, drums and synth sounds to more ride. Thus the textual turning point is highlighted and musically. Toward the end of the track with the sound of plucked stringed instruments (violins probably?) Is again quiet, but no longer reached the mildness of the opener.
5/5
Track # 6: Anya Marina - Satellite Heart
Again a slightly smoky female voice, accompanied by guitar and strings that make the song almost perish. For me splashes of track up to the violin theme and the 'ooo' at the end rather then the lyrics and not tear me from the stool so. A quiet piece that you have in my opinion quickly forgotten. I think it is the weakest of the whole album.
2/5
Track # 7: Muse - I Belong To You (New Moon Remix)
Title seven will be able to delight fans of the first OSTs sure there are but muse that are immortalized here a second time on a Twilight soundtrack. And the album does the song also heard good, it lifts the pace yet again after the previous, slower numbers again and also through the use of instruments (oboe and bass clarinet, I'm not sure, and are indeed not specify in the stupid Booklet : p) a real restorer. Lyrics and vocals are also good, but you have in this remix version on the French part of the original refrain, which unfortunately also shortens equal to a good two minutes from the Song (wherein the recess of the text content and the music at this point her yet understandable is). A great piece in the right place, I think.
5/5
Track # 8: Bon Iver & St. Vincent - Rosyln
With "Rosyln" waiting for the CD with a hand-made guitar embossed piece which is carried by the vocals that are sung calmly and very melodic (but hard to understand in my opinion without this text are) and the soundtrack back in melancholy and quiet realm retrieves. For me, just touching and beautiful.
5/5
Track # 9: Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Done All Wrong
The number nine of the track list then initiates a small sequence of each relatively short songs, set a little more speed, which finds its expression in the rapidly presented Lyrics. Outstanding at Done All Wrong is the harmonica use, but also the back a little slows the song tempo.
4/5
Track # 10: Hurricane Bells - Monsters
With "Monsters", the pace accelerated but then clearly, as is already the entry with guitar riffs pretty fast, and later drums and cymbals are served, which creates a driving rhythm. The text is catchy due to some repetitions in the chorus and the vocal sound and understandable.
5/5
Track # 11: Sea Wolf - The Violet Hour
This piece has in the middle on a short synthesizer theme that is carried on by a guitar solo and is taken up again in the synthesizer-shape at the end. The starting point marks a holding in the background bang, the end is marked by a pounding on the pelvis. The vocals are clear, the text is languishing (in the dark you tell me of a flower / that only blooms in the violet hour), but can not be implemented entirely consistent and the atmosphere conjure, which suggest the lyrics, what my being located on the first-mentioned synth / guitar theme, that's too 'easy' / 'happy' for the content.
4/5
Track # 12: OK GO - Shooting the Moon
OK GO place before the last track of small, fast-richer Songs series, the rhythm with strong, hard in comparison to the remaining track guitar riffs wins only at the end of trip and otherwise comes quite slow over long distances. However, I do think this end is not quite correct. It has been used for the shoot-term is the tympanic insert which runs through the whole song and it pushes and thus can appear faster than it actually is. Lyrics and vocals are quite alright, even if I can see a difficult context of the lyrics, in which I can not think of this song as background in book / film in ...
4/5
Track # 13: Grizzly Bear (with Victoria Legrand) - Slow Life
"Slow Life" is another, more melodic, slower track that particularly impressed by the fascinating, albeit difficult to understand vocals. If you know that Victoria Legrand members of dream pop band Beach House is, you can probably already imagine the sound of the song quite well. Guitar, synthesizer, the electronically distorted vocals of Grizzly Bear singer Daniel Rossen and partly choppy sung passages of Victoria Legrand leave the track almost a bit 'surreal' effect. The text is very beautiful and just the chorus is poignant. I like the song, although I suppose that it will not meet everyone's taste ...

Track # 14: Editors - No Sound But the Wind
"No Sound But the Wind" begins with a relatively powerful piano melody that will persist until the end. The fact referred to in deeper pitch Text is wonderful, appeals to the receipt of a love (help me carry the fire / it will light our way, forever) and is quite romantic, but seems to me a bit 'antiquated', which is probably the classic with the may be related vocals. Nevertheless, a good title.
5/5
Track # 15: Alexandre Desplat - New Moon (The Meadow)
As the first OST already used to, including herein includes singing improvised piano piece the dance. Here, a basic theme of Carter Burwells is - "Bella's Lullaby" taken up again, but that is no longer so light and lively, but (the book / movie content accordingly) comes quietly and seriously. For my taste a very nice title, the mood change forcefully leads just by the resumption of Lullaby melody into oppressed in mind.
5/5
Track # 16: Jennifer Rostock - It hurts again
Clearly you realize that this song 'hintendran clapping' as a gimmick for the German fans was. The voice in itself build the CD, which had oriented to the first (fast start, instrumental end), is thus broken, which I personally do not like - I could do without the song. After all, it again brings a little life into the plate and fits lyrically reasonably well to do so.
3/5
Overall, the New Moon OST is nowhere near as fast-paced as the Twilight soundtrack, but level-headed, calm, melancholy, which fits perfectly to the second part of the Twilight series. But here is also a weak point of the album. Seriousness and melancholy in all honor, but are characterized almost all tracks on the CD by the fact, which creates the risk that songs could simply pass a splash - and so did most to me at first listen well. Only after three, four passes one recognizes certain qualities and can grow fond of the OST.
Fans of the first soundtracks should at least take the opportunity to lead the audio samples in MP3 version of the CD to heart or perhaps wait for the movie and listen to the pieces there before accessing naive. For those who like melancholy and romanticism, the album is a recommendation but worth it.
[Btw: This is my first CD review and therefore it may be that all is not described properly. Check it out for me. ^^ "]
