Who like BAP already was such a long time and is successful, can boast an impressive discography - and yet, I have to join my previous speakers - "Zwesche Salzjebäck un beer" remains undisputed (for me) the best of all BAP discs. Such atmospheric density has been reached on any of the previous and subsequent albums. The now does not mean that all the other albums are bad - but this disc pushes probably most of what one connects (especially as a die-hard fan) with the guys from Cologne. Already the first track "Station Cinema" produced a gloomy and a bit irritating atmosphere - a staccato of portentous fantasy scenes. Then "Three custom-free" - classic, powerful anti-war poetry. One of the highlights of the record is my "Diss Following is everything in it" - a more accurate and thus berührendere description of everyday dreariness is probably rarely found. The title "Sendeschluss" and "Jojo" fit into this sophisticated and pleasant enough, never blosstellende viewing Federal German everyday reality. Niedecken describes soulful and at a high level, without hiding behind empty words. The other songs - highlights the rich assortment of "Kölsch Leeder". All backed by a times timid and melancholic, sometimes rocking energetic sound that is consistently arranged in an ingenious way and immediately draws in its spell. It's been evaporating long that I have heard the disc for the first time - but over the years it has lost none of its power and its poignant melancholy.
