Toccata - Neuveredelungen from Falk'schen Sound Forge!

I write this review as it were, in real time - while listening to the album for the first time. As a longtime fan of Dieter Falk's music (listen to it since the 90's) my expectations were naturally high on the new album. Already the last album Celebrate Bach was awesome, but what the guys from the
Falk'schen Sound Forge have since refined again, is the finest classic in a new guise.

This is evident at the very beginning when Tocatta: it goes straight weighty matter with sacred church organ music as a kind of homage to the Weidenauer time ;-) - then Hammond organ alternate with electric guitar from.

The Messiah by Handel comes with a new look so rock-gospel moderately over that one for the next album of Falk's wishes directly a complete revision of the oratorio.

Small minus point (still 5 star in the rating): the canon like me, unfortunately only the beginning, somehow the version of Pachelbel I prefer, because such a worn piece should also remain unchanged at the core.

Genial contrast is again the concerto - an absolutely successful combination between spinet and modernity.

At Adagio is what I missed when Canon, excellently implemented. More of that!

Awake, the voice calls us - I thought the wake-up call I've known from a previous Falk album and will pleasantly surprised! At the end but my guess was confirmed ;-)

That is my joy you do not know somehow and again; definitely a version with radio.

Sarabande / Greater Than This All: oops, there it is again my abdominal pain sensation. Love Falk, you play fantastic - no question, but singing is not as your strength ...

Daughter of Zion, it is always nice when Falk CD's end with a pure piano piece. And this version is awesome; full of anticipation of Christmas and the one who is to come in all his glory and power!
