Bought there are now several years to replace the optical drive in my MacBook Pro 15-inch 2008. He received the mechanical hard drive in my MacBook I replaced by a SSD.

The assembly is very easy and the product is pretty well built.

Note that it's not about the product but on my MacBook model has to be very careful in removing some connectors may damage them irreparably.
