On my PC, I have no MIDI port and was looking for a low-cost solution to this problem. Then I found here this converter and immediately ordered him, after I had read the reviews on various sites. Anyway, I can recommend this converter fully. The installation is easy as the part and does exactly what it is, namely, send MIDI data via the USB port on the computer. Toll, and for the price!
