We thought: "Here you can not go wrong and if it does not fit gehts halt back". Some reviews here are very negative indeed but what was already doubting us. When the pack arrived we were pleasantly surprised. Neither is the "leather" in a bad quality or in an extremely different color than that of the Canon (we have the 600D) - yet it has other shows visible defects.
Initially there was, as others have mentioned, a small gap zwichen camera and grip. If you push though a bit back and forth, it fits like a glove (I think the only thing to do with the screw and that you can engage the thread exactly). The original batteries of Canon fit without problems.
It's hard, fits perfectly and absolutely served its purpose. You can choose this here much cheaper alternative peacefull conscience. 5 ***** from us as it meets exactly what one buys it.
