Worn on the hip, the support plate rests on the thigh and is carried along by it. Thus, the camera follows the body movement and thus remains virtually unnoticed. The entrained in my case Sony Alpha 580 with Sigma 18-200 was really no lightweight, but could be wonderful because virtually unnoticed wear. Top!
Fixation: At the camera is a support plate screwed (tripod thread) whose screw is secured by a thick rubber insert against accidental loosening. This plate is then hooked into the carrier system down and secured at the top with a self-closing spring. A second safety lever can optionally also be allocated, but is not really necessary. It is possible to fix the carrier with a strap or on the thigh. But this is my opinion, not necessary as long as it does not move in extreme terrain.
Terms: To Fotgrafieren you put the safety lever (fuse 2) to, presses the clamping lever (fuse 1) and takes the camera. A handle strap can remain attached to the camera. I did not turn because I get stuck somewhere the risk did not want to go on my hike.
Optional accessories: There is a mounting kit for the strap on the backpack with rain cover. For a DSLR but the kit is unsuitable as a way Herschlenkern is pre-programmed on the strap through the most heavy weight. Due to the size of the lens holder must be attached quite far above namely. Better renounce it, a rain cover can also be get so: why tip from me!
Conclusion: A very sturdy shoulder straps, also for heavy camera / lens combinations, that has proven itself. The weight distribution and wear properties at the hip are excellent. I do not trust this system to even heavy terrain excursions and recommend it without reservation. On accessories to be worn on backpack straps can do without in my opinion in a DSLR. At most small system cameras, the purchase of the accessories might be worth.
