And after I heard several times "Higway to Hell" and "Back in Black" and was found to be good and not überbietbar, the unbelievable happens ...
I'm considering "Powerage" to and am thrilled !!
As an overall concept, this disc can outdo any other AC / DC album in my opinion. "Powerage" is a thoroughly genuine, rough, "simple" rock-blues project that authentic from the very beginning, directly and "real" comes across and throughout the album to sound, catchy rock rhythms again a draufsetzt and moments of happiness keeps ready ... My personal favorites were there, for example "Rock` n` Roll Damnation "," Down Payment Blues "(which was beautifully brings the often forgotten blues roots of Australorocker to light) and" Riff Raff "(please necessarily the live version of "You've Got Blood If You Want it" listen !!) and "Sin City" ...
Of course, critics could immediately entgegenen that all sound AC / DC drives equal and that actually is "Powerage" only further proof of the rigidity and immobility of the band ...
But I see the positives in this supposed "rigidity" and mean that AC / DC `n` Roll deserves history precisely because of their straightforwardness of the top places in the Rock!
"Powerage" is - despite other variables such as "Highway to Hell" or "Back in Black" - so far my favorite album of the band. And I think I'll me now then soon again listen ...
Clear 5 STARS my part !!
