Ursula Andress (Paperback)

Customer Review

Ursula Andress, what memories ... and deceptions ... In this hagiographic biography, where the authors explain that his bad filmography is not due to the actress (?) But the circumstances (really .. .), to romantic passions (well everyone has ...) the fact that there 'was no great directors (there we laugh ...) ... we are still a little disappointed these explanations at the very least tenuous. We are more interested in reading his loves, Daniel Gelin Harry Hamlin to James Dean, John Derek, Jean-Paul Belmondo and Fabio Testi. In the films "James Bond against Dr. No" (1962) and "Red Sun" (1971), it was not until the middle of the projection finally the spot. Ursula Andress will then be doomed in the seventies to Italian Z series and movies garrison town. Its only really important, where it will deploy some dramatic quality, is "Twilight of the eagles" (1966) by the excellent John Guillermin.

He must face the facts and admit two or three little things, the Swiss German accent that she never wanted to correct or does not take acting classes so that she was hired and paid by Paramount for those famous seven-year contracts that Hollywood offered, in short to learn his trade, would have offered a better foundation from film professionals. The small rebel ridiculous attitude that it will adopt smile: I am a free woman, I 'not like the constraints, I ... I ... I ... With Ursula Andress, we tend to paraphrase Jean-Luc Godard and therefore to say that it wasn 'inhabited by film but that she lived cinema. This allowed him to live well, to travel the world and entertained. In fact she admits being an adult to forty-four when she had her child Dimitri.

Going back to the book, there are a lot of pictures, some "topless" but unfortunately not others in the nude, his entire career s' is concentrated in this light. The reproduction of movies posters and about a hundred magazine covers as diverse as Paris-Match, We Two, Privacy, Photo, Vogue, Elle, Lui, Jours de France, Life, Cine World, Parade, Esquire, Sportsman L'Express, Playboy, The illustrated ... There lies the true contribution of Ursula Andress, and its commitment to "armed against time" campaign for the prevention of osteoporosis, a disease that we will catch him at the age of sixty-four.

A book to own anyway for fans and admirers of the beautiful Swiss woman.
