This makes the camera "blurred" images, is probably due to incorrect operation of the 7-point autofocus sensors. The camera adjusts itself by default to the next location object sharp, responsive to said one of the sensors. If that's a beer glass in the foreground and one has not enough light, it has no depth of field and the rest of the photo is out of focus. - Perfectly logical. - So: Who has to make an important picture should always be sure to which (s) sensor (s) the camera is focused (flashing red briefly).
But you can also turn off the autofocus and manual focus, or to a different focusing mode switch (camera knows 3 modes).
The provided default programs result in most cases really very good photos, if applied properly.
(Portrait, Landscape, Sport, Night, etc)
Meals are also B & W mode (with sepia effect) and high speed are (turning 1 s wait, let's go! And the shooting!).
Add to this the high image quality and, and, and ...
I have waited a long time to switch from an analogue to a digital SLR. - The wait is definitely worth it! - This camera can easily everything you need as a mortal!
Unconditional purchase recommendation. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable at the moment.
Another tip: you the 28-300mm Zoom from Sigma'll get to do so. Both together (body and lens) with a 2GB CF card on top of it you can already get for under 1000 Euros. (August 2006) Advantage: One need hardly ever again a lens change! - A brilliant constellation!
