Hello I want to write here few words about the Phottix BG-D7000 Battery Grip. Even I am an avid amateur photographer in almost all smell and a Photoshop freak. After unpacking, I was skeptical about a little stability. While it is not bad but just processed plastic. Inside there are metal strips incorporated to increase the stability, although it is on a tripod rather wobbly affair. The controls are easily accessible and all are recognized by the camera. While the release button for vertical and grid wheels are not as smooth as on the camera but ok. Visually, it is well made and hard to distinguish from the original, only when you look at it more closely you could tell that it is made Plasik. The rubber inserts are easy to grip and accurately. The shape fits Reasonable to the camera bottom and also you get more grip surface in landscape mode so that's to keep the D7000 even better and more stable.
My Conclusion: For people who want to have from the shooting hand and simply more grip, it is not necessary to buy the original. With good 2850 mAh rechargable batteries has more power than with an original Accu (1900 mAh) use a tripod, it is, however, my opinion totally inappropriate. The whole is unstable and begins to crackle quickly if you have a lens 500g front of it, because I would still prefer the original Nikon. Ultimately, it is ne cheap alternative to the original. I will personally keep under control, after I hung a 3 kg to the mounting bolt on it and quite violently up and down have shaken I am sure that it is stable enough to safely carry the camera. I can tell how the whole looks over time at the moment, of course not.
