History seems involved but the defects abound, starting with a risky narrative style. It was very difficult to follow the adventures of the many characters as the novel is poorly written. We do not always know who speaks, thinks and acts. The descriptions also inadequate: it's hard to visualize the scenes. The psychology of the characters is very (too) searched, slowing the pace of the story that did not require, in my view, the transcript of the soul of all the protagonists states. All these defects contribute to making "Green river," yet interesting novel by its murky and violent side, a work without fulfillment.
