Why I forgive only 2 stars? Playback quality is pretty bad. On the one hand you hear a loud click with every song change. Secondly, you can hear it for quieter songs background chirping in time to flash the USB stick. The same with several sticks and SD cards. The promised by the metal housing better EMI resistance is therefore not available in advance, or fails on internal board design / screening. For ever 1 star deduction.
The two other stars I pull off because the player with some songs the first 2-3 seconds simply skips. Here I suspect a faulty (or missing) support gapless specification. Has been tested with MP3 files, VBR V0 and CBR 320 (LAME 3.99r). The same files will be played anstandlos on all my MP3 player / smartphone / PC, so it's up to the device.
Other:
- Why the files are played not by name order, but according to the order in which they were copied to the stick? Any sensible implementation should be able to sort by name.
- At the start of the drive is scanned, but he shows comic title information on the display (EX 5:99 -> EX 4:01 -> EX 6:99). That will take, depending on drive and file number until it has all the folders by.
- Support for random playback is apparently dependent on the radio - mine it supports.

As it stands, the device has a problem with high bitrate MP3s. When using encoder LAME in "-V2 --vbr-old --strictly-enforce-ISO", it works. About 256kbps will not be playable from the beginning. The decoder probably seems to have too small a buffer and therefore comes under special circumstances to a halt. For example, if there is a peak bit rate at the beginning of the song. I can only come from a lack of quality control in the design of the device.
Etc. Who MP3 from Youtube used should not have any problems.
The device is actually identical to the XCarLink2, and the Electronicx (and a few others, easily compare the housing form). In the Yatour and Electronicx even the packaging and the instructions to 100% is equal to - only the name was replaced.
