The lower bed has the dimensions 80 x 150 cm. The heating wires would not be sufficient completely to the edges, that is, the heated area is significantly smaller (ca. 57 x 120 cm). For me, (1.60 m tall, slim) that is sufficient. For large and / or obese people, the area is likely to be too small. That still talk of "XL size" is on the package, I find it quite misleading.
It takes about half an hour until the ceiling is heated; the heat is distributed evenly while nice. Of the three temperature settings I use only 2 and 3. Level 1 is in this model only as lukewarm and for me therefore of little use (which the manufacturer actually just this stage for continuous use is recommended). I have a very low blood pressure and in the evenings always ice-cold feet and only marginally warmer legs. To warm Stage 3 is just right for me, and it's really super nice, the evening to get into a pre-heated bed. Should I turn off before going to sleep time forgot (already occurred), the blanket will automatically turn off after three hours. The ceiling is also highly recommended for tensions. You can feel how the muscles loosen up after a while and decreases the unpleasant feeling of tension.
The lower bed is mine between the mattress and fitted sheet. There are four rubber bands mounted on the ceiling or similar one with a strap can lash on the mattress. If you look at night not too much around circulated, the ceiling, however, remains flat and are smooth without aids and moves hardly.
