Attractive design, low weight, ease of use
Despite the rel.günstigen price, the camera must end at the top dogs in the product class "travel zoom" can be measured - and coming from Panasonic (TZ series), Sony (HXV) and (SX 2 * 0) Canon.
And since it looks just mttelgut from the Olympus, considering the price difference now omits times.
The camera needs good lighting, otherwise the autofocus works in the zoom range sluggishly or not at all.
Disappointing for me also the image stabilizer, the more noise - as effectively goes to work.
During live viewing it goes, but when triggered then you need a really steady hand.
The standard sets in this discipline with me the Sony HX10V which ever by far the best travel zoom, which I had so far.
Currently, there are only the HX50V, with more pixels (?) And more zoom, but I've not yet tested.
Average at best is the battery, which would fit in size befitting a compact model.
I do not understand in any case, why most manufacturers do not use the space, the handle has to obstruct larger batteries.
In the Category Travel Zoom which is after all an important discipline!
The image quality indoors is when the autofocus cooperates class typically good, but not outstanding.
"Bill" has here found that the oak dark living room makes his Canon 40 D without flash no better pictures.

If that is indeed the case (which I doubt), I am now back times really glad that I have believed in the SLR range of Messrs. Nikon, because this difference I would like to play the piano can!
But such comparisons ban basically by itself.
Positive aspects, however, are:
- A very good macro function also in the zoom range that I know in the form only of the Ricoh CX6. If you want to photograph eg insects on flowers, which succeeds with this part better than almost all its competitors.
- Work well the special effects of "magic" position, although I know hardly anyone (except my 12 year old son), with something really playing around itself, rather it or after it on the computer.
- When there is sufficient light you get sharp photos with pretty natural colors, which after all is the most important thing.
In this way, go out of four stars, so recommendation.
