Since the BR-6228nS should run as an access point with me, some adjustments had to be made. And there began the drama.
1) The router has to have steadfastly refused to a different IP address assigned. Reset, DHCP out, save settings, start router, change the IP address and: denkste! Now the router allows it neither to the old nor to the new IP reach. At the end I have made all the settings made up to the IP, save the configuration, change the IP end - router unreachable ...
So reset, configuration and import again to change the IP. The games I have dealt a while, until I started to adapt the rest of the network the Edimax. In a pinch I could thus still be alive (especially given the sensational price), but it was the fact that I also had the theater to the wireless network:
2) The wireless does what it wants. Once WPA2 encryption is active in hidden SSID, no IP address is more to the WLAN clients awarded (Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Tab, both with ICS, Dell Latitude).
Excluding the SSID visible and enabled WPS2 connect the clients though, have low levels of signal strength (50cm spacing) and say goodbye.
So the evening was over: wrap, return sticker on it and return to the nuisance.
Who's up nothing special with the device, perhaps may be satisfied. Anyone who believes he must change something in the settings, be warned: this is no fun (read some of the other reviews).
My first thought aufzuspielen a fresh firmware has been nipped in the bud: on the device was a version 1.22, on the Edimax web site are the latest versions 1:16 and 1:18.
Too Bad ...
