This is THE favorite book of my little boy 2 1/2 years! And it is also one I prefer to tell him! Finally a well written book, poetic, joyful, without "evil" without phrases or words to "censor" .. not so simple to find intelligent books that appeal to both parents and children! Small animals are not so well described, their desire to eat apple too; this book is full of respect, no jealousy or painful moral style "MUST share", just a subtle story, beautifully told and illustrated ... A must for small libraries of our children!
