I am a regular APC protection systems for years: I am in my fourth inverter brand in 10 years (by reason of failure, but increasing the number of protected equipment). This model looks very good price / quality / specification seems to have big weaknesses since hardly four months after my purchase, the unit has failed and must be replaced by APC. A ride on some forums I found that many other buyers have had the same nasty surprise. Being a medium-long term investment for protecting electronic equipment and audio-visual rather frequent electrical variation in my area, I expected a better reliability. I will look into the equivalent models of competition and especially ... go check the forums before buying ... this time! ----------------------- Update January 2015 After replacing the faulty UPS APC in 2012 (simple and timely process), I never had a problem with this UPS. He had to be a bad run. It has played its role in protecting against many current variations and recovery on some frank cuts the EDF network. I was able to practice the software programmed shutdown of equipment possibilities rescued before the battery runs out from a PC and a NAS and I must say that I am reassured to know my protected equipment. Be careful though, it is necessary to preventively replace the batteries after 2 years (easy to find on Amazon or directly from APC) to continue to have optimum autonomy in case of failure. To be taken into account in the calculation of cost of the solution throughout the estimated life of the product in relation to need.
