First of all dyslexics among us, the CPU (Central Processing Unit), because I see more and more users who write the CPU.
But now to business.
Bin for a week in the possession of the new flagship of AMD and therefore have my old Phenom II X4 965BE with a 140 Watt TDP ersetzt.Ich have considered due to the more or less negative tests long and held first distance from the actual bulldozer.
The new Piledriver architecture has yet ultimately convinced me and move to buy.
Installed in an AM3 board from ASUS, the M4A89GTD-Pro / USB 3, the recognition of a new BIOS update went smoothly and the CPU was immediately recognized. Thanks also to the same ASUS, because not every board manufacturer provides an appropriate BIOS for the Socket AM3 ready.
The automatic overclocking unscrewed the clock immediately to 4.7 Ghz high and everything is absolutely stable, where there is not the end of the line is reached. At room temperature and with a Prolimatec Armageddon with two 140mm fans a good piece in idle is not warmer than 28 to 32 degrees under full load and no more than 51 degrees.
The benchmarks have shown that the jump from 965 to 8350 is really big, in spite of all cited poor performance in the single threads.
Of the multi-threads I start not only because there is generally known that even the Urbulldozer provides a good performance, which is partly outbid Piledriver again significantly.
I can only advise to keep the distance intelgesponsorten tests, because apart from the pure raw performance of SMT (Hyperthreading) times, the 8350 can certainly compete with Intel's top. As said by programs that have been optimized for Intel's Hyperthreading apart, especially since these are anyway only a handful, eh not apply the meisst in private applications.
The CPU is very fast, each current task over grown and considering the price difference of nearly 800, - Euro between Intel and AMD - top model, so I'll take the one or two kilowatt hour more gladly accept.
Competitors is good for business and when it only should be Intel, then I can for each processor change soon start to Borrow. Therefore, price - performance goes absolutely to AMD and if a game is of course limited to the basics of the graphics card, now running at 120 or 110 frames is me personally absolutely care less and justifies no almost 1000, - Euro for Intel's top model. Is just my personal opinion.
I can issue a strong buy recommendation for the new Piledriver CPUs, because you get a lot of performance for little money.
