All parts are very well made and fits perfectly. This assembling is done quickly and pleasantly. The respective structure is fixed by folding a solid metal bracket, the sick snaps with little effort. The device works well thought out in all parts - right down to the small window, through which one recognizes a high level of pulp container.
The only control on the engine part of the rotary switch, with which one (left or right) selects between turned off (center position), slow and fast operation stage. The switch is large and easy to handle and hence easy to operate even with wet fingers.
A bit has the HR1874 / 70 something of a big puzzle. You have to look more closely to identify the correct structure for each "normal" juicing or for use as a juicer. Nevertheless, the operating instructions for this is not absolutely necessary. You you need most closely for clues about function and cleaning.
The powerful motor accelerates the blade plate and the centrifuge screen to high speeds. Therefore, I find the two speeds helpful because for firmer fruits or vegetables (if it is juicy) the higher level is sometimes too much the good. If you do not the included special pot with lid used but about a normal, open carafe, you should use the way also in the lower position as far as possible the downward curved spout (dark plastic). In straight (metal) Discontinued namely injected the juice right through and sprayed perk up the kitchen equipment.
Due to the high rotational speed of the cutter tip you have to watch something that you can not introduce the material to be pressed too quickly. Otherwise slipping of the resulting juice containing pulp rapidly over the inclined centrifuge screen and is not optimal juiced. If you have the right pace, the juice yield is very good.
The juicing example of oranges is also easily with the corresponding attachments. Miracles should not be expected from this additional function - the advantage over a manual juicer is only in the powerful engine. A gearbox translated The rapid rotation of the motor into a slower but very powerful rotation. The slow position the power switch is sufficient in my view. The flesh is not centrifuged and therefore do not thoroughly juiced than with a manual press. Other industry-specific features, there are not (such as a setting for the pulp fraction which passes into the juice).
The suction feet below the engine part to adhere to smooth surfaces: very good (for us a granite worktop) and decouple the device from the substrate, so that transmit vibrations hardly.
Even without rinsing functions the cleaning of all parts is very simple. The plastic surfaces of various essays are smooth, and there are no hard to reach wells. The centrifuge screen and the cutting tip can be free with a soft, long-bristled brush under running water in a few seconds of residues. The remaining parts (except for the juicers transmission) can alternatively be cleaned in the dishwasher. But if you juiced only low-fat fruits and vegetables, it is sufficient in my view for everyday use, rinse the parts under running water and only occasionally to use the dishwasher.
Conclusion
What can disrupt possibly, is the rather complicated structure with relatively many individual parts. In turn, these are not too big and therefore easy to clean and dishwasher safe also of its dimensions. Therefore, there is of me for no penalty.
If you often juiced and emphasis on good handling and easy cleaning, the HR1874 / 70 is a practical matter. The dimensions of the device should not be underestimated - appropriate storage space and a stable footprint must be present.
A significantly adverse effect (outside the mentioned principle related) I have not found. Therefore full punk number.
