Housing:
Well finished with no apparent defects. Everything feels solid. Until the housing yields you have already a lot spending pressure. The force required is far beyond normal use. The screen warps easily when it lifts in a corner. In order to solve the problem just start in the middle of the display. The framework has not succeeded with me and is firmly in position. In the pictures, the gray is very bright. In reality it is much darker. So do not be fooled. Still, it's much nicer than the black version. All applications are kept in the same gray.
About the arrangement of the connections everyone must itself be clear in what he preferred. Dust / fingerprints can be seen as in any other device and is within the normal range.
Keyboard and touchpad for mouse:
The keyboard responds very well. The volume is pleasant but clearly perceptible. The key travel is very short but you can get used to it. The distribution of the special keys is functional. The size must be assessed by each individual.
The touchpad / mouse is similar to the housing ground crosswise. This can be seen when using the pads. What causes it does not slip off and evenly with your finger. From my experience, this behavior is significantly better with the longer use of the surface.
It is important to load the correct driver. By chance I came across the Synaptics for HP 17.0.8.9. This allows multi-touch and the operation is similar to an Apple device. Also the response of the pads is significantly better than with the driver of ACER. Thus, the PAD is at eye level of all other average pads on the market. By multi-touch function control buttons are hardly used by the pad.
Hardware
About the individual components, I would say nothing here. Except that I have an mSATA SSD 128GB retrofitted by Plextor. Installation requires opening the housing. Operating system
With me running Windows 7 64bit on the SSD with no problems. During installation you should know about and be patient. Helpful tips are in power to satisfy. The 4 built-in speakers are not bad for a notebook of this class and can be heard. You can also supply an external amplifier with music on the latch. The quality is very good. It works well balanced, powerful, detailed, not distorted or even dropouts. My external sound card I no longer need now.

Volume
The fans are most of the time barely audible, as they are most of the time made. Many a radiator is loud! Even the HDD hard drive is most of the time louder. The HDD will turn off while the SSD is used. Who sets value on a soft notebook is here at the right address.
Temperature
Under normal office usage or Windows installation the temperature is negligible. Since the surface is made of metal, it's just if it is slightly warmed beneficial.
Accumulator
The battery is of sufficient size. Office / Internet / tax return run in parallel with a battery life of about 5-6 hours. The loading time is comparatively low.
