This Peel-session CD of "Chameleons" 1990 presents 12 tracks from the early days of the band with a total running time of approximately 49 minutes. As usual with John Peel, the songs have been specially recorded for radio broadcast, the versions are so different as to the corresponding studio releases. The differences are sometimes only hard fans out audibly, sometimes more or less serious differently. In any case, it is powerful versions of a time when the band was not infected by the fever acoustics. Since the band no longer existed at that time (it was only in 2000 again together) can be found in a sort of small leaflet obituary. The tracklist is composed of early songs together and is quite interesting: 1.The fan & The Bellows, 2.Here Today, 3.Looking Inwardly, 4.Things I Wish Id Said (recorded on 08/06/1981), 5.Dont case , 6.Nostalgia, 7.Second skin, 8.Perfumed Garden (taken exactly two years later, on 6.8.1983), 9.Return Of The Roughnecks, 10.One Flesh, 11.Intrigue in Tangiers, 12.PS Goodbye (recordings from 05.05.1984) .On the back cover is still an introduction called Dust to Dust listed, behind which is hidden but not a new piece (On the contrary, one hears no introduction). It would therefore be more of an attempt to deceive collectors Complete fraudulently. Nevertheless, the board is still good enough that I you concede five points muß.Positiv noteworthy as always, the cover drawing of Chameleons guitarist Reg Smithies.
