I just wanted to back a small, simple player with clip as me wearing the device on T-hem (and not klopsig lying in your pocket) liked a lot. As I am not satisfied with the restrictive philosophy of iPods, however (I'm flabbergasted like when I realized that one can not draw any music from your iPod to another computer and the player is also tied to iTunes), I looked around for alternatives ,
To make it short: The Clip + has become after only a few hours to my new favorite in terms of functionality and design. The predecessor Sansa Clip (without plus) has been rated by many specialist sites extremely well, also with regard to sound, and there Sandisk was already known to me through their SD cards and USB sticks I did not hesitate long.
The case does not make big experiments, the directional pad with the button in the center has become a standard in many devices. The Clip + is a high quality finish, the cyan and yellow in small but legible display reminds me of my already several years old Traxdata player, but hidden under the somewhat old-fashioned acting facade a very solid interface. If you have the device first filled with music, it only takes a few moments to the new memory contents to read (and here I cast an angry glance to Sony Walkman E436F, a device that was twice as expensive and in nearly every turning anew several dozen seconds has used the same procedure - and if I have the unit filled completely new times, I could in the time until the player had finished the reading easy again relaxed go to the toilet).
The whole surface reacts completely without any delay or stuttering. As mentioned, the display in simple cyan and yellow is held, but the navigation of the menu is animated - the menus are moving in all directions, a small but very useful trick to understand on which menu level you are. The buttons are easy to press and pleasant good to use with one thumb. There are two menu buttons - a jeweilge for the context menu and a second "home" button that lets you return to the main menu at any time and with a second click on the playback screen of the current track. After a few hours I was able to switch back and forth with elegant ease among the many choices. With audio books, and podcasts the Sansa stores the most recently belonged position, very comfortable with long pieces - you can even change the audio book playback speed menu. A voice recorder function is also available, if you time has nothing to note this document will or what the dear fellow is so giving of this feature is also very useful; the built-Micro is surprisingly good and the quality of recording is clear and balanced. Also an equalizer with specifications and a private carport included.
Overall, the device in terms of size with a matchbox comparable (even smaller), the clip excluded the device at each garment. Even through the pocket through it is good to use. But one of the greatest assets of the Clip + is the expandability of memory through microSD cards - I opted for the smallest model with 2GB and 8GB MicroSD ordered separately (also from SanDisk, since the read speeds but often wish for cheap tickets then left leave), so you get much better way than to choose a larger internal memory - which has to be mentioned that the device consumes a little more power if it is using an additional card. I, however, very often connect my player to the computer that is not a real problem for me.
Conclusion: The Clip + is a simple, but the details very perfected instrument, easy to use, very comfortable to wear and well made. By expandable memory there is growing along with the respective music collection, not to mention that you could hear several cards in Setting rate Exercise. The player goes perfectly with Windows Media Player and WinAmp my favorites, but is also very simple drag and drop to fill. A small downer is the enclosed mini USB cable: It is just as long as a pencil stub IKEA, if you so do not should have a mini usb cable already you also order a reasonably long. Other devices like iPod or the Sony Walkman described using their own special cables - so if one time gone or lost must only refer laboriously one by the original manufacturer. The fact that the Sansa is operated current standard cable here another positive selling point.
Who wants to listen to music without headaches and high costs, is well advised with the Clip +. It includes features of which even players in much higher price ranges can still cut a fine slice, the Sansa everything runs without bitching and lamenting of and perfect sound - overall a very charming device. Unrestricted buy recommendation!
