Switching on and off can be the lamp over a built-in the cable switch. The final LED sits in a small lamp head at the end of about 25cm long and very flexible adjustable gooseneck. The brightness is sufficient in my view to read or just to illuminate the keyboard, because only a relatively small area is illuminated. This is not a substitute for a desk lamp.
Let's talk about weakness of this small lamp, the terminal. Built spring is very strong, which indeed makes for a good grip, but the clamping surfaces are neither smooth nor padded. Either through its commitment to exactly where to install the lamp, or you can come up with something for padding. Overall, this is a handy little clip light that adjusts a great reading light.
