The puzzle pad is really handy, beneficial are mainly: the white surface, the markings / borders by puzzle size for orientation, practical rolling up and fixing using Velcro strips without any problems. Minor drawbacks / criticisms: 1. On the felt the pieces adhere actually something, but it's for a not so that you get it back down only by sheer force, on the other hand, the effect is certainly beneficial, thus falling out after rolling up any parts. Who is nevertheless skeptical that puzzle pieces fall out, the role should not upend but just lie down flat or use the Velcro straps so that one in the middle and the other two outside the puzzles are attached and thus fix the puzzle at the edges. 2. The frames are of course designed for Schmidt puzzle, yet the differences in size to Ravensburger puzzle is not so great that I can not do jigsaw puzzles with this fact. 3. When rolling up I was a bit skeptical about whether the pieces remain intact. One should refrain from a very tight / tightly together tunnel in each case. But our puzzle has remained intact in time to hang up. 4. The structure of the puzzle pads or the plugging together of the three roller members is not exactly easy, but with some strength, patience and sense of detail good to master. The role consists of three interrelated parts to be screwed from lightweight plastic. You have to take a closer look to find out which parts are meant for each other and then needs some sense and patience to get the right place, at the match the thread.
I think the pad is especially for something like not as fast puzzler, more time to lose patience and pack away the puzzle. All in all we were very happy despite minor criticisms. =)
