The package itself was very well packaged, no damage or otherwise.
To install, the description would have liked to be a little more detail (with pictures for position at the Windschutzzscheibe etc.). What in fact designed to be very difficult was the correct orientation of the disc, now I do not know whether my washer is inclined to and therefore I had such problems ....
Anyway, it's the case with me that the supplied foil for the windscreen is not broadcast entirely from the head-up display, on the contrary, I even see the outlines.
Maybe I have installed it too low, but it turned out to be very very difficult.
As a tip for everyone who cleans the plate and sprayed / she sweeps with water (with NEM shot up liquid) in the appropriate field, then puts the film on and then begins with the orientation of the device and slide. The excess water you can then remove the foil through with thorough stress. (Is also similar in the instructions)
The connection itself is simple, plug into the OBD2 port, the cable is more than adequate, the unit began to connect instantly with the boot and reading.
Among the features, it can all be separately defined:
- Alarm can be switched on and off
- Speed for speeding can be set individually (in the case of exceeding the number of flashing speed and you will hear a sound if the alarm is on)
- Gearshift indication can be adjusted by any of the speed
- There are several other functions for consumption, but the service is a little complicated
One thing that has me very disappointed, however, are given by Pearl Photos, in the catalog as well as here at Amazon. Consider the last image, definitely a photomontage but that was apparent from the outset.
The penultimate seemed to me as though realistic but again, some wrong, the film is too large, and what annoyed me most are the colors of the display.
I could not taste while still in the instructions to find a way the color switch, with me all the facts and figures are green, außgenommen the end of the speed range, the already at 5 is the way red (for me captures the red zone according speedometer until 7 to ... well)
For brightness to see at night wonderful, even on cloudy days very pleasant.
During the day, when the sun is difficult but nevertheless identifiable, major problem here but that reflects the display from the device, which is particularly troublesome in tree roads.
Conclusion
Positive:
- Quick look at important information
- The night travel a lot for people and dorft often have problems with wild, it is to have very pleasant not taking his eyes off the road. However, one must realize that one will be out of focus either by the natural extension regulation of the eye always, when looking at the road, the display is not read in the peripheral viewing angle (at least not for me) So, one should not imagine they could both at once see unless in the family was a chameleon)
- Exact speed display (speedometer shows often less)
- The film is transparent and interfere very little in sight
- Installation (up to orientation) is very simple
- Long cable
- Speeding can be adjusted individually
- Alarm can be switched off
- (Given eg gas; D) only a minimal delay between the display data and input in the car
Negatives:
- Pictures do not correspond to the product, at least by the colors (the rest is true)
- Orientation of the display is quite difficult, bubbles under the film can distort the picture (it necessarily pay)
- Speeding is only partially useful, since the speeds always change (perhaps on long stretches of motorway with ner 120 or 130 limit)
- For me, the whole film is not irradiated by the device
- During the day, hard to detect
- Screen of the Head up display reflects
Finally, I would recommend this product put only those fond of the, as already mentioned, at night a lot and accordingly have problems with wild, so it has paid off for me but, especially in the winter time it will be even use me.
For someone who travels during the day, the display is almost useless.
Overall I give yet 3 stars because for me it is of considerable advantage eyes just a fraction of the road when driving at night to avert, =)
