This now quite offers the same features, but you can adjust the temperature in 5K steps instead of 4 fixed steps and the keys are all located at the base station rather than at the kettle itself. Cooking speed is pretty much the same, care and handling are slightly different.
Advantages / Disadvantages:
+ Faster operation (eg press 2 buttons at the last election Temperature reselect)
+ Turns off after 2h itself (one should forget the warming function)
+ No software problems as the old every few hundred uses occurred (even that was not a serious problem)
+ Lid opens very wide at your fingertips, one-handed operation possible without any problems (could the old well, but was not quite as good)
+ Pretty glass (particularly effectively by blue lighting)
- Glazed conducts heat very well (as long as you do not have as children should not be a problem)
- Basic illumination switches also idle after 2h (wake nocturnal and briefly wonder what beeps in the next room?) With a short beep from
- Through the glass you can see fairly quickly limescale on the bottom plate (other side you clean by frequent, brief boiling with vinegar solution helps yes)
Durability I can not yet assess the unit have now about three months in operation. We'll see if he shows signs of fatigue even after 2-3 years.
