The Bad:
- The menu is unfortunately replete with HD telephony tests; these menu items can not be hidden and nervous when rummaging through settings formidable
- The "Internet functions" of handsets (email, RSS reader, Web radio) must be pre-configured in the Fritz box surface and are due to the lousy screen and the lack of headphone jack (Radio) virtually useless
- The handset is very shaky in much too fragile charging station
The Ugly:
- The LCD screen is awful, the Siemens Gigaset have better hingekriegt 10 years ago
- The narrow NiMH battery is completely anachronistic to connect by means of a tiny plastic plug in the battery compartment, at not quite perfect installation, allowing the battery cover hardly close; the works in any cheap mobile phone already for 10 years better
- The plastic case creaks and reveals sharp edges, the overall build quality is rather sub-standard but to get over with the low price yet
- Gruesome ringtones
Total outweigh nevertheless the positive points and the cheap price. The MT-F, which apparently differs only by a large color screen of the MT-D, was due to the twice as high price for me not in question. I hope, however, continue to AVM make it someday to develop a handset that combines the functionality of the previous device with the build quality of the Gigaset. Then you could even recommend the AVM handsets in conjunction with another PBX, but so those things are really only recommended for FritzBox owners with VoIP connection. Although recent Gigaset handsets also work quite well on the Fritz boxes, but you have to miss out on some features like comfortable retrieving the AB and phonebook access.
