I ordered the UE48H5090 for my 86 year old mother. The tube TV had finally given up the ghost, and they can no longer see well. So should be much larger, the new. The flat screen TV was delivered well packed in a narrow cardboard box secured with plenty of styrofoam. In addition to the TV is the stand in the package, the remote control plus 2 batteries (but probably were überaltet and had to be replaced the same), a user manual, power cord and the warranty card. The operating instructions are kept in several languages and really only important for the remote control buttons, if you do not yet know enough. The TV is easy in spite of his size and could be taken from my husband alone from its packaging. The walk (if you do not want the TV hang on the wall) had (which also accompanied) are secured by 8 screws. For this, the TV was placed on the carton, so that the wider foot could be easily screwed. Then connect the cable and still get going. We have cable connection. The cable for this one has to get himself, our old could be used. When you first launch the invitation, the language, as well as the signal source (cable or terri table) select the display. Then you start the station search. It went quickly. The time slots desired to sort edit went through the menu and channels. One should here proceed sequentially and drag the desired channels to the desired place. That was a bit awkward and feel better when smart function. A little had to be adjusted for. Heller, the colors less contrasty etc. This is all easily accessible via the menu. Of course the image of HD channels is much better than the other. My mother has only analog reception. But still a really good picture, especially compared to the very old device. The sound is also absolutely fine. Now my mother is still struggling with the remote control. There's way too much for them and it's all very different from before. That was to be expected ;-). I have therefore bought her a senior remote control of SEKY where the 'superfluous frills' was omitted. I hope they get used to it then. At least, they already would be time to finally be able to read Scripture in the TV again.
