Since I ordered lately three of these screens I want to declare my opinion.
First of all .. why three .. Well I have an NVIDIA SLI system and play a lot of flight simulators (DCS: Black Shark, Flaming Cliffs 2.0, Falcon 4.0, IL: 2 Stumovik, Flight Simulator X) Now was my original plan a Nvidia build 2D Surround team.
So my last step was the purchase of three identical screens with a thin edge as possible to get the opportunity to a resolution of 5760x1080 to play. This ACER S242HLABID was shortlisted.
Unfortunately office quickly discovered that despite the new LED technology and Mega Contrast (12000000: 1), the Acer could not compete with my existing Samsung SyncMaster 2433BW. Mainly in the color reproduction, I was very surprised that my 2 year old LCD TFT color brought much stronger advantage. The picture adjustment options were limited.
In the brightness of the ACER was full points. LED technology is thanks.
Difficult to gestalltet also the positioning of the three screens, as they are only in the horizontal angles are each resembled adjustable.
Another shortcoming, one of the three screens Acer had in the image reproduction a Purple Stitch, which especially stood out in white areas.
3 stars I admit but nevertheless, because the screen is not really bad.
For Nvidia 2D Surround unfortunately totally unsuitable.

I have all three screens returned, Amazon gets me 10 +++ star. DHL has sloppy in the return and delivery was "lost" .... After two telephone conversations with the Amazon customer service, the employees participated in the issue, and I got my money back anyway! Thanks Amazon!
