A good wide-angle lens for my Pentax K-5 was my wish. Here a Pentax SMC DA 12-24mm / f4.0 ordered and then tried at home with the following test scenario: text on the computer screen Full Frame photographed using the spirit level the camera and live view in a darkened room, with focal lengths of 12mm and 24mm, always two Pictures only at f 4.0 and 1 / 100s and then at f 6.3 and 1 / 50s. Then image on the screen look at the center and the four corners if sharpness is ok. The Pentax lens is here in all areas sharp even at maximum aperture. Since I do a lot of available light photos and also like to magnify image sections, it was worth the money, so 5 stars.
