- Perfectly even tan
- Precise adjustment with truly visible results
- Very good workmanship
- Quality, resistant surfaces
- Width crumb tray
My model is already the new, second version of the Lite (Lite 2505 DLT2EU, lt carton.) Additionally has now also 2 buttons next to the browning control:
- Defrost (that really is working fine with other models, the toasts were then often burned when using the defrost function, never here!)
- Bread / bagel function = one-sided toasting (this button is centrally integrated with the old model in the browning control, sitting there for now a cancel button to end toasting However, this is not really necessary because the toasting process also canceled at any time by pushing the lift lever. can be).
Despite the really good quality of the device I want to clarify something: The LITE model is not a "real" Dualit which is unfortunately often neglected in the product descriptions. For I have inquired directly from Dualit about the differences to the so super expensive and commonly known as the Dualit Vario toaster ovens and would like to play the obtained statements interested buyers:
Lite 2-Slice Toaster:
- Designed for home use
- No replaceable parts
- Electronically
- 1100 W
- Stainless steel cover
- 36 mm wide slots
- Self-adjusting slots
- Automatic ejector
- Machine-made
- Crumb Tray
- Standard wire heating elements
- 2 year warranty
- No individual slot setting
By contrast, the Vario-2-slice toaster:
- Designed for commercial and home use
- All parts are fully replaceable
- Mechanically
- 1200 watt
- 28 mm wide slots
- Adjustable slots
- High-performance ejector
- Manufactured manually in the UK
- Stainless steel crumb tray
- Patented Proheat heater
- 5 year warranty
- 1 or 2 slots heating
- Stainless steel case
I think the difference is so clear because everyone hears the DUALIT, naturally thinks about the last-described "high power toaster", the Lite model has however nothing except the name in common.
Nevertheless, I am using the toaster (although me the high price for a "standard model" annoyed, but Porsche is indeed "just" a car ;-)
very satisfied and would recommend it.
I want to mention also that the slots really easily fully absorb the huge sandwich slices of toast and really toast around the area. I bake a lot of bread in the breadmaker and also those big discs fit into prima.
Wen the high price does not scare you - buy recommendation!
