Installation:
It's just settled a quick start guide. The manual is stored in the TV Help and can be charged via USB stick with extensions into the TV. Man we so really nothing can happen by installing Led. For the sorting of stations note the review of "jflasser". One can very easily move the channel by entering the location numbers.
(Not the language!) Enter When asked about the country Finland: A tip for installation. This does not affect the operation of the TV, but you can look forward to more channels - or not ;-)
Image Quality:
The picture quality is what I call good. Especially fun making course ARD and ZDF in HD. However, the factory setting of Philips is not very natural. I have researched on the I-Net and adopted the following settings in the advanced configurations that convince me fully:
Smart Picture = Personal (so that the following settings also work)
Contrast = 75
Brightness = 50
Color = 50
Focus = 3
Noise Reduction = Off
Light sensor out =
in Pixel Plus HD:
HD nat. Motion = off
100Hz = on
ext. Focus = off
Dyn. Contrast = off
Dyn.Hintergrundbel. = Optimal image
MPEG artifact suppress. = Off
Color optimization = off
Sound Quality:
OK. I am running on the system anyway.
Service:
For me totally easy but the "response times" are a bit long. The remote control is very straightforward with a few buttons, the home button is the most important. In addition you get into the configuration and input selection.
USB interface:
Simply plug it in and stick the TV automatically displays the folder structure. Pictures of my 40D are displayed in top quality as a slide show.
Genial how many formats can be played:
Image files: JPEG
Video and audio: AVI, MPEG4, MPEG4 SP and Part 2, .MKV, MP3, WMA, ACC and so on ...
Motion JPEG (MJPEG) video will not play. Lt. Customer Philips is also not provided. Tip: MJPEG, for example, from the Olympus PEN, with the converter from DIVX into the Matroska (.MKV) convert format. The converter remains even after the test phase of the program for this format freeware.
Power consumption:
Here worth a comparison. An equally large LED needs no less (about 70 watts). Older LCD from Philips, as the predecessor 5404 need some more (150 watts).
Service:
Questions are answered quickly by email. Very good. The website for the device is clearly and quickly to find. The firmware is updated and is quite simple einzuspielen via USB stick (Download to the stick, unpack, plug in the TV, the rest is automatic).
Supplement (July 2011):
Have the LCD now over a year and am still very happy. But I strongly recommend constantly aufzuspielen the latest firmware. The process is quite simple and even inexperienced with such things can venture it.
