A tender first love to the many adventures

Emile, fifteen, is a sensitive and reserved teenager. A little heckled by his parents to the whims affirmed his mother for example, dyed her hair blonde since he was seven, because she thinks it's better that way; her father, meanwhile, has no language in his pocket rather proud of his green and flowering jokes ... Emile's hard to take this compact family when he knows his first love for a girl of her high school, Pauline, following a more opulent than his social milieu.

The adventure begins when Pauline invited to join in Venice for the Easter holiday, which must give a concert at La Fenice with his orchestra. How to convince his parents to let him go? But they see no obstacle: they will leave with him, caravan, the very one in which they live until the building permit for their home.

Beginning of a journey with many incredible adventures (brother, military on leave, is also the trip), in which the outcome is permanently compromised. But not count on the tenacity family ...

I loved the freshness of the novel in the beginning, the sensitivity of Emile, his relationship to his family, the immanent tenderness, funny and sometimes burlesque character of the story. It is entertaining but perhaps a bit light in the end, a classic novel of initiation where it is the first love that inevitably makes you grow and assert yourself.

A nice novel that made me have a good time.
