Printers with many aspects

+++ First impression:
In order to maintain the profit margin at the unit as high as possible in order to thus compensate for the smaller rolls on the sale of the unit can Tintenfläschen, as measured by the price is built extremely simple. On comfort functions was completely omitted, but I knew already.

+++ Installation:
The padding and first set up the ink tank has as far as work (about 20 minutes rödelt the printer case to set).

Since there is always difficulty in setting up wireless Epson printers are, here is my approach that has worked well:
1) the printer (without PC) can connect to the router using WPS until everything fits. In my Fritz box to WPS's turn (via FritzBox access software) or via button if already activated. The connection went very quickly. IMPORTANT: The setting "devices may communicate among themselves" must be enabled! One can simplify life continues when a fixed IP is used for the printer and listed these.
With USB, the world is of course easier.
Good: the reception quality is prima de Epson.

2) After that, I loaded the drivers and installed directly from the Internet by Epson. For CD Installation Only the WPS option, if used with WLAN choose and not of Epson "recommended" option. You can set a password and user, therefore only WPS is possible.
When Scannereinrichten I have had success just by specifying the fixed IP address (see above).
The printer menu is simple but sufficient for me. The Epson Scan program is unchanged and a bit dated since x years.

+++ Pressure:
the quality of the text printing is for Dye inks as far as OK. Photo printing is the result of her quite well, even across different Glossy papers away. If you want more, you can profile the printer on the paper type (leave). This has worked very well here, much better than in the past on my Canon! For this purpose can be, thank God, the color correction off in the driver so that the graphics software can not accept this. I must say that the prints here really, really good turn out (color fidelity, tonal gradation and details). The color space is limited to the usual in accordance with the 3 color inks.
The pressure is in b / w text printing eingermassen afloat, even text with color passages is okay.
Photo printing is very slow. My tip: use here the setting "strong" in the "quality". Again, the whole thing takes more than twice as long as with my Canon iP4500. If, by "Custom" an even finer one style of cooking is desperate without sacrificing the quality would be really improved noticeably !! Text printing with "strong" is high in contrast to Standard significantly better, if required, and yet sufficiently fast.

+++ Copy function
the S / W copying is very nimble vonstatten, color has lasted much longer. Probably I stand here to be stupid, but I have not yet managed, fast times to request as instructed multiple copies. But I can live with it.

+++ Summary
the price is for the equipment and the skills, of course, much too high, which is given by the advance financing of the no longer existing as usual printer cartridges purchases. For rare opportunity printer therefore likely not the right niche.
Due to the useful text pressure, also in speed - especially b / w and the Bach profiling very good, but laaaangsamen photo printing, as well as the well-functioning wireless connection also to smartphones !! by Epson iPrint I give 4 stars.
You have to know in advance just what the printer can and see if it fits into a flat. For me he is seen OK.

+++ Not nice
But now the real stumbling block - not the printer, which therefore also gets 4 stars - but the national pricing policy of Epson and playing with availability.
The L-printer, elsewhere already sold millions in "certain" countries have been late only once available to the announcement in Germany.
Epson does here extremely difficult, the customer who in this country so far has been wonderful getting fleeced to offer another, apparently dangerous option.
At least, it looks to me:
- The range of the officially distributed printer comprises only 2 rather thin equipped products
- The availability of the L355 and L555 is very, very thin!
- The prices of printers are very high for Germany! In L355 the price starts at 163 in Poland, in this country are at least 299 mature. I had, as I said, only luck with my purchase.
- The worst: the printer ink first eingermassen passable with about 12-13 available at Amazon (otherwise actually almost 10 elsewhere) was recently quasi verschwunde from the market and available only at Jacob Computer for as much as about 40 Available per bottle !! !!!!!!!! There's a price jump of 300% (!) Ingut 20 days. What is this ??? Meanwhile, the price is again gone down a bit. Tip: I now have the ink on [...] ordered here agrees the price and prompt delivery!

Thus probably should be inconspicuous in the German market and, above all UNATTRACTIVE the printer !! Then please let remain the EPSON yet !! Then I have to stop the device get low over Poland and does not have to annoy me unnecessarily.
Or does Epson all seriousness to the prices is already not compare nationally? The bordered yes to embarrassment. Even now jump the price of L-types, if times available again, back and forth.
