Although the book but is quite old (which one should therefore be aware of when you read the book), we find yet many explanations for basic things in the JavaScript world. A big plus are the links in the book to delve into certain topics. For those who want to deal in more detail with JavaScript and want to write more than just a couple of functions, the book is highly recommended.
