I have decided to buy, because I wanted a coffee percolator of NIROSTA - and this one is great value for money when you compare that sum you pay for other steel-making facilities. Vast sums, I think!
We read these boiler again, he evaporate in the wrong places (lid), it would zuzudrehen "fiddelig" and is very sensitive and it would remain after cooking water in the lower part, etc. Well, I think he has those little shortcomings actually - my lid does not close perfectly and thus runs when pouring the coffee and laterally out of the opening, but I must say, these shortcomings do not bother me (at the price!) at all. Because:
- I hold my fingers just do not go where steam escapes from the "wrong" place at the lid.
- I am quite capable to keep the pot when pouring straight and pour the coffee only when they are provided opening.
- With a little bit of practice you have the "rotation" (in the truest sense of the word) out very quickly, as the boiler quick to close (not how many, first turn slightly counterclockwise to him straight on to thread get, but simply just sit on the bottom and rotate gently clockwise, done!) You do not even really turn tight so that it is sealed him.
- The water in the bottom of the pot is needed to prevent overheating and discoloration of the base (that's right actually, because I've already been "forgotten" our coffee percolator on the stove, so the water but evaporated and he has the same in direction discolored bronze - but I did anyway much better like a "used look")
In addition, this espresso maker is the fastest I've ever had. Whether this is related to the model or with the fact that he is from Edestahl, I do not know.
Our model is a 6 cups model and the upper part is very, very large. Why, I do not know, five centimeters less in height would have been enough for the amount of coffee. But since I do not need it as small as possible for example, travel in a backpack, which is probably more of a visual detail. (Maybe the coffee aroma unfolds indeed better in a bigger pot?)
Conclusion, the cooker comes at a really unbeatable price and is doing its services very well, because the coffee tastes. The little "imperfections" is get at very quickly with common sense.
ADDENDUM: In the meantime, I find the "shortcoming" of fiddeligen Zuschraubens no more flaw - on the contrary, this pot has probably one of the fastest and easiest-sealable thread at all. Man, it's just not used to just put on a thread and the same clockwise to turn off. What you are used, is first to turn slightly in the opposite direction, so that the two threads come to lie flat against each other before turned off. But this is not necessary with this machine! Top setting, turn, ready.
