For ColorMunki Display:
The device is bundled with a simple knitted measurement software, which creates ICC profiles and simultaneously adjusts the monitor settings via DDC. A measurement process takes about 5 minutes and the profile created is automatically passed to the Windows color management. In the System field 'color management' are found then the color profiles created. In order to actually color management then takes care of the operating system - in my case, Windows 7 64bit. On Montior the contrast and power adjustment are adjusted automatically, but the user does not plan out that he should no longer be adjusted now. The color temperature of the monitor is set via DDC to 6500K. It amazes me here is that the software does not attempt to mix the color temperature on the monitor automatically, because you do not know how well the monitor manufacturer must take its 6500K. If I in any case in the Monitor menu change the color temperature, it sets the calibration software back to 6500K. Technically, a white point adjustment in the monitor would be more favorable.
What really goes well, the calibration of a second monitor is - the colors fit exactly right match. Critical I find, however, the turn out my profile very dark, really dark (with various setting options of the software tested). So I can work with it, I have at my LED monitor with IPS panel considerably increase the contrast (brightness is usually already full on, or has little effect). Actually, I expected that after Kalibierung everything fits and I have to adjust anything. But there remains again the uncertainty ...
In summary, I can only partially recommend the unit and would rather give 3.5 points in the vote, because the profiles be very dark and not even seem to me the monitor settings very conclusive. Perhaps there is still a software update for the measuring program.
____UPDATE ____
Unfortunately, the software can not communicate with my monitor automatically via DDC - rather she chooses the wrong settings.
If I turn off the DDC mode in the calibration software (known there as ADC ...) and contrast / brightness adjusting manually in the monitor menu, the calibration function as expected. The result is now no longer, as described above, too dark.
I can only repeat myself thus: Perhaps there is still a software update for the measuring program.
