Promised effect is not observed

We had some time ago by the temporary storage of chicken feed in our attic invaded by food moths. A pheromone trap did not bring anything to the contrary. There were only attracted more moths from the Umgegung, so we opted for a fogger. Since the uninhabited and closed attic space was also "only" a risk of poisoning for humans and animals was excluded.

First, we have relocated the affected feed into the open air under a canopy. On the one hand it should not be poisoned so, secondly, it was for this time winter and the larvae and moths in food could be combated. The attic itself has about 50-60m² and is in the middle of about 2m high with a pitched roof on 2 sides.
The cans were distributed in space approximately centrally positioned at table height and both activated simultaneously. The Sprühausstoß was immediately quite strong and also 2min stopped. However, we were able to watch through a glass door, that the fog has not filled the entire room but is soon dropped relatively downward. Ie the upper part of the room was as good as hardly achieved. Whether this has led to the bad result we can not judge, but we suspect that it might well have to do with it.

We must now, of course, do not expect all of crawlers are now on the same path. It takes a bit until the last combats pests. That after 30min-1hr also works. But after a short time (2 weeks) were re-food moths in the room on the road and were not fought by a "long-term effect." Because now there was no more food in the attic, the food moths have now taken root everywhere where it was possible for them. Behind wooden boards, on the ceiling, under the table, etc.

We could not convince this Fogger and that this is a massive chemical mace I hope to give them an appropriate power which this Fogger could not afford.

Before I misunderstood but now - it now involves only this one specific Fogger. Another Fogger (as in our case Indorex) very well and was able to convince also comply with a 6 month effect.

This fogger contain very potent and health harmful substances (eg permethrin is. As possibly carcinogenic and eg. For cats very toxic and can among other things lead to allergies and that's just one of the active ingredients used).
This means that the application has a not to be underestimated risk potential and requires careful handling. I would recommend a Fogger only someone who has knowledge about the risks and dealing.
