To sum up what I had in mind when buying or what expectations I had:
- Exclusive tracks from Sony (who knows the Uncharted series knows what this is normal white)
- Long development time + shifts due to quality / content
- Flagship game to the PS4
- In competition for example with Horizon 2
Announced weather system etc. -
All this gives hope for a great game. This was not like that. After the (multiple) annoying shifts the release date, I was excited to see what shows up when you insert the disc one.
First, the weather system is missing (is "submitted" - what a stupid trend), then now the servers are running (even weeks after the release) is not clean or often not at all - which is why a full use of all game features is not given. The graphics are nice to look at - the exaggerated sun glare annoy me but rather for example (can not be disabled in the menu!).
Added to this is unfortunately a minimal adjustable driving menu. Start Assist setting? None? Manually turn? None? Graphics options / effects adjustable? None ...
In addition to the unfortunately quite small (but nice!) Fleet.
Particularly bothers me the engine sound. On the one hand, for example, the sound Ferraris great, on the other hand, some other vehicles mixed so modest (he also vond ago volume!), The one this almost does not hear plus thinks one stands next to an old vacuum cleaner (eg the A45).
What I liked is, apart from the glare, the beautiful graphics and particle effects. Furthermore, the cars drive quite pleasant if to neverös also in high speeds slightly. Drifts etc. can be nice check. Furthermore, the difficulty is (to "Gold" to achieve) quite crisp, but what I like.
As an overall package, I can not recommend Drive Club but. I'm missing here special features, configuration options, unique features, functioning contents / server etc. to move from a "normal" racing game stand out. These still empty promises made by Sony regarding improvement of the server situation and / or additional features ....
I can say that the game was a bad buy (I even bought the Steel Bock Edition) on my part.
