Brandys last album "Human" showed that the singer had to process a lot of bad experiences. This they did in their standards and pop very sound. The album "Two Eleven" was again a tragedy Pate, in this case the death of his beloved mentor Whitney Houston. This time, the singer sounds but clear R & B-heavy and tried - as in 2003 produced by Timbaland, "Afrodisiac" - to move the wheel of the R & B a little forward. This succeeds partly also pretty good. Of particular note in my opinion are the pieces "Hardly Breathing", "Paint This House" and the bonus track "Can you hear me now?" - The one playing enable other Shären. All these titles move in mid-tempo and have a wonderful backing arrangement that almost steals Brandys rather stattfindendem in the lower octaves singing the show. These three pieces were also all of Rico Love produced and co-written. Here its production and brandies vocal skills complement each other perfectly. With "No Such Thing as Too Late", there is also a very successful mid-tempo ballad of the two. Furthermore, knowing the two R & B tracks "Wildest Dreams" and "So sick" to please with their powerful bass. Written on the also very slow piece "Scared of beautiful" and others of R & B-Durchstarter Frank Ocean and produced to Brandy employs very explicit with their self-doubt and a former eating disorder. With the song "Without you" Brandy has also doing quite a beautiful ballad in the style of their previous albums with. In addition to the tracks already mentioned, there is, unfortunately, but also many a filler on the album, which is not bad though, because it fits in with the rest of the plate, but was something like this already produced by other artists. As a bit disturbing I find these tracks especially the constant repetition of the refrain, which unnecessarily pulling the pieces in the length. Also, the continuous slow pace makes it difficult to hold the phone over the entire season at the bar. It simply lacks the variety! Therefore, it is with "Two Eleven" Unfortunately my opinion, not a masterpiece, despite the promising approaches. Half of the pieces, however, are so worth listening to, that the acquisition of the album still worthwhile.
