+ Runs faster (than PSE9 and all previous versions)
+ The path from the Organizer has disappeared - you can now start exclusively PSE.
+ Exposure compensation has improved significantly
+ The RAW converter has become more effective
+ The surface looks modern
+ When the cropping pattern of the rule of thirds or the golden section are now finally having displayed
+ Improved edge selection
+ Many new presets that I do not need
+ In my view, improved stamp function
- Former project area that could hide in PSE9 still is now on permanent display more or less, because here are the sub-functions of many menu commands can be finely adjusted. This, however, you want to edit photos are displayed small. This sector must be concluded for a larger version of the photo again.
- I'm missing the old "Speed" menu, in which all important fine tuning knob (contrast, highlights, shadows, midtones, color temperature, etc.) were available at a glance. Now the fine tuning knob spread over two menus: "Quick" and "Wizard". Unfortunately, for example, a quick adjustment of color temperature is only possible via many click actions. Many of the controllers can be no more finely regulate the arrow keys in increments of 1, but only with the mouse, which usually does not allow fine adjustment of the controls. That's just for controllers, in which a change to the value of 1 is already significantly changed the image is undesirable.
- The newly designed menus "Quick" and "assistant" are now equipped with many presets and call rather to lay in the image processing who want to change fundamentally in the 1-click process their photos.
- Double-clicking on a controller sets this only in the RAW converter back to the default value. Now you have to press the button Rückgängimachen, which takes time. Overall, the "mouse routes" in the menu "quick" and "assistance" has become longer, ie time-consuming. Here Adobe should take advantage of earlier versions again.
By means of fee-based Software Elements + PSE can only enhance the already full-fledged image editing program. This also works with PSE11.
Total outweigh the benefits for me. Adobe should urgently re-offer the "Quick" menu of previous versions and the possibility of all (!) Regulator with the arrow keys to fine tune. It would also be desirable if the color temperature even after passing through the RAW converter in the "Expert Mode" could still be corrected.
Overall, the positive changes outweigh the minor setbacks. I have been redeveloped a number of old photos with PSE11 and can tease out a lot more quality.
