, On April 28, finally appears Counterfeit² - Martin Gore's second solo project. And that has it all !!! The 11 tracks on the album are all cover versions, including Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Kurt Weill and David Essex. A look at some Counterfeit² Title: - The first single from Counterfeit² is "Stardust", a Top 10 hit in the original by David Essex. Gore used for the design of this title minimalist electronic sounds - or as the Ami says bleeps & clicks. - "I Cast A Lonesome Shadow" (my personal favorite on Counterfeit²) is originally a country song by Hank Thompson. Martin Gore's techno-noir version is absolutely one of the highlights on the album - and an unconditional out tip !!! - Just as ingenious him the cover to "Loverman" succeeded, which was initially created by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. This song has dynamism, emotion and passion. Just great !!! - I also want "By This River" (Original: Brian Eno) highlight here. This may be one of the more popular titles on Counterfeit². Very emotional, minimalist and melodic. - A special treat on this album is the German-language song "The Song of the lonely girl" (Original: Nicos). Conclusion: Counterfeit² is not just for Depeche Mode fans, but also the right choice for any discerning music connoisseurs who distance themselves from the whole Main Tram wave á la "Germany seeks the superstar", and finally want to get to taste really good music again.
