Oh my God! - Volatile I had seen the last few seconds of "Video" on VH1 - and wanted more! Without further ado, I bought the album and had already after the first 3 songs (video, Promises and Brown Skin) stop with enthusiasm because I was so impressed. Surprisingly, all the songs on the CD are incredibly harmonious, soft, yet very crisp and groovy ... just perfect! The mixture of a swifter Soul & R'n'B Fee as Alicia Keys and a more moderate rhythm and groove interpreter as Lauryn Hill was what I was looking for forever. The songs are strong, intelligent, incredibly exciting, varied and all meet but the nerve of diehard R'n'Blern who renounced the Komerzpop. Therefore, you have probably not heard of India.Arie, although it is certainly musically with Lauryn Hill, Angie Stone, Erykah Badu and Alicia Keys on a plane. I highly recommend this album to anyone who would look at a mixture of these four also fantastic singers as the ultimate musical. Of particular note are the supercooled but ingenious "Simple," the peppy and extremely impressive tribute to Stevie Wonder, as well as some self-deprecating "Strength, Courage and Wisdom" and the already known song "Video", a true masterpiece R'n'B, that for me is much more than "Fallin '". My tip: buy, hear, melt - and hope to many more albums by the incredibly talented India!
