Scientific journals with referees - only scientific reference - regurgitate studies that not only demonstrate that soy is not dangerous, but on the contrary it is a valuable ally for our health. Isoflavones - not no 'phytoestrogens' but phyto-SERM (selective estrogen receptor modulators) - reduce the exposure of the body to endogenous estrogen, which explains the lower incidence of cancers component hormonal (breast and prostate, in particular) in regular soy consumers (however, silent on products such as dairy products that contain real estrogens and growth factors). In addition, isoflavones protect LDL oxidation, which explains at least partly the lower incidence of cardiovascular disease among regular soy. The list of scientifically proven benefits of soy is long. The allegations against soy, however, come from either incompetent people who relay false information or lobbies for milk and meat, which are seeing their market threatened. Health is too important to leave as consumer books full of lies to endanger.
