A joint project of Eric Clapton and JJ Cale. 2006 The man of the Tulsa Sound, JJ Cale, and his "students" Eric Clapton, so two blues legends brought out the album "The Road to Escondido". With the song "After Midnight" and "Cocaine" Eric Clapton had borrowed two songs by Cale and had great success with this cover version. Now there since 2006 this wonderful Blue Album. It goes from a completely relaxed mood of the work. Both are accompanied by some very good musical collaborators: including Doyle Bramhall II, Albert Lee, John Mayer (all guitar), Nathan East, Pino Palladino (bass), Billy Preston (organ, Wurlitzer Piano & Rhodes) and Taj Mahal (Harmonica ). The voices of Eric Clapton and JJ Cale complement each other not only wonderful, no, they are sometimes confusingly similar. And are as relaxed as the atmosphere through the images in the enclosed booklet, so relax all songs pass through the work. Just wonderful. My favorite songs are yet Anspieltipps: "Danger", "Dead End Road", "Hard To Thrill", "Three Little Girls" and "Who Am I Telling You?". I recommend to anyone who likes the music of JJ Cale and Eric Clapton, put this album warmly recommend.
