purist, perfect ...

In my job I often work with times. This on the one hand to accurately detect, without otherwise having to seek mobile phone or other means, moved me to the purchase of a watch - incredibly, I remember a time when you had something simple ... but oh well.
The clock must be able to withstand some (mainly strokes), but rather exhibit tightness against liquid penetration. To ensure the accuracy of the time, there was a recording of the DCF77 signal accordingly high on the checklist ...
The G-Shock GW-5610 just brings these properties: it is relatively insensitive to shock, vibration and scratches, it is a clock - like so every day in the early morning hours, the time signal from - it is theoretically up to a depth (!) 200 meters waterproof, and as a kind of candy the battery is powered by solar cells with energy.
The GW-5610 is known as "Retro" model to understand, that it is based on the first Casio G-Shock-clock from 1983 in style. You have to undoubtedly love. The overall appearance, therefore, looks more purist. Functionally, it offers in addition to the features described above, everything you would expect from a wristwatch: eg stopwatch, countdown timer, alarm functions and a very useful display backlighting.

The first impression when you unpack: a very decent for a G-Shock case that also rather average wrists (about 18 cm in circumference with me) does not affect clunky. Contributing to that GW-5610 is not particularly high, barely more than a centimeter of housing floor to the top.
The numbers are large and easy to read - at many pictures on the net that comes often not well over. The small solar panel is located inside the red ring and can be recognized by its texture better than this also comes from the photos available on the net over. This can be bothersome (reflections) - it does not bother me personally.
The buttons on the sides of the housing are a bit difficult to use - I am running because without fingernail so far nothing. Who goes there other claims provides, should avoid this' 80s-style feature probably better.
The pin buckle and strap effect total initially quite crummy - time will tell whether they behave that way. Worn but since nothing disturbs and Resin makes the skin a very good impression.

A drop of vermouth brings the Buy from Amazon with me and demand my soul peace will, a mention: I have the clock observed over several weeks, as I at "just 100, - + x EUR" could strike not immediately / wanted. The MSRP is 129, - EUR, on Amazon, the price hovered around last constant 109, - EUR a.
At 104, - EUR I decided after sufficient consideration of whether it should be just ours now to take advantage of the offer. Now, two days after ordering, Amazon offers it for 98, - EUR for. That may be "out of luck" in post - personally annoys me the acute and unforeseeable price slump of seven euros within 48 hours but already, especially in the context that the clock for several weeks considered rare among 106, - EUR has been touted recently even still over 110, - EUR Stand. Of course, anyone who can tap a "bargain" in Amazon pleased - but such a price development reminds me too much of the daily lottery at German petrol stations ...

The clock can of course nothing for. :)
Five star it gets consequently anyway.
