Quadrante came ...

... And Petra went - after 4 years of satisfactory service - to retire. Here is a preliminary, albeit somewhat unfairly old / new comparison is in favor of the Senseo Quadrante
+ It is much quieter
+ Faster
+ The coffee tastes aromatic (with the same pads used)
+ It looks better (in White)
+ It is better to use (Padholder / outlet / coffee-feed hopper can be removed easily and clean, the cup holder is adjustable in height)

Not as beneficial: as already criticized by other reviewers, the batch size can not be selected and the Tasssenhalter is a somewhat rickety affair. There are at most but half a point deduction. The onset of the water tank is on the other hand after a little practice without problems and rather a bit easier than in Petra, as it is good to keep by the housing recessed handle.

There remains the question of whether the part by holding well 4 years. Here I have given the other reviews my doubts. For now, I am certainly very happy with this machine.
