Since Ubisoft has expressly gesaagt that one reviews that appear on release day, not to take them seriously, appear mine halt today on Day 2: D
First let me tell you who expect a graphical Revulotion, is with this game, do not enjoy. So dear graphic whores, please make a detour around this game. In addition, there is an arcade-biased game, NO Simulator.
All others who are willing to compromise, I empfehl it. It really is a "must have". But more on that later.
First I have to say, it shows strong that the makers of Test Drive Unlimited were at work.
What is positive for the most part. All errors which had TDU2 are as good as gone. This are some new in it.
Pro:
- Game world (details and size are absolutely amazing)
- Tuning (part very imaginative)
- Vehicle selection
- Graphics (It runs smoothly even without monster graphics card)
- Sound of vehicles and Umbegung
- Control (is playable with keyboard)
Cons:
- No internet = no play possible
- Police (sometimes really hard, drove 375 kmh and were still behind me)
The crew is just awesome. It's great fun, together with my girlfriend to drive around and look at the game world. The story now is not really new. Need For Speed has this "undercover" purely out of revenge or somewhere to grab around the Boss umpteen times already Swallowed, but it's still exciting mitanzusehen.
The handling is super. I have no steering wheel and for gamepads my hands are too big. Therefore, I am very grateful that The Department is also wonderfully playable with keyboard. Steering and brakes can be adjusted via the Menu with delays. So no "Tippellenken" longer needed. While there are consistent weather, but it will change infrequently. At night is often fog near the surface waters and forests. Very consistent. Rain I have not seen, I do not miss. The game world is full of life. Everywhere run around appropriately dressed people. Build snowmen, etc. Simply gorgeous ... Animals also there. Elk, deer, bears, crocodiles and much more. Running a well in the car. But they can not be run over. Is not a GTA: D
The game is an MMO. I understand very well the meaning behind it. But since you all missions also can play alone, it just has to be able to play it without Internet. That can also turn out times. Also the tuning is at first glance very extensive. However, it is also somehow very limited, since one example sticker and rims can not colorize itself. The rear view mirrors of cars have no function. This was done for performance reasons. Although I verstehs, but there is just a lot that do not. Well, I would have liked an option for, as well as in Euro Truck Simulator is. But well. It also works without. One notices immediately that the game is programmed for console. Especially on the menus. They would partly calm may be somewhat better.
CONCLUSION:
The game is incredibly fun. It is designed varied and you realize the hard work of the developers.
Whether amateur racers or Sunday drivers, here everyone has to do something. Well at the beginning must be done a few races (Prolog) but these are 30 minutes and then kanns go anywhere. This game combines the strengths of many other games, yet it feels completely new to. Everything fits together.
Therefore, there's a just buy it for me.
Wishlist:
Of course I miss always something in one game. Am also a small modders. So I thought I'd write out my wishlist here purely. Possibly yes reads one of Ubisoft)
- Playability without INTERNET !!!
That is missing is an absolute NO GO in single player content !!!
Therefore only 4 stars !!!
- Rear-view mirror (If only the world is mirrored, which reached well)
- Sticker + rims colorable (as in NFS Underground 2)
- Own license plates (font changeable)
- Radio stations (more rock Please, I do not like this Elektrokram listen)
- Displays as the Skyline should at least show something, no matter what, instead of gray
- Wooden interiors missing
- Mat varnish missing
- Auxiliary headlights switched on / off
- Indicators in the AI vehicles missing
- The rest of the world is missing (kidding)
The game is wirlich super, and I recommend it wirlich each. Apart from the graphics whores.
