When I heard this band for the first time in the radio station of my choice, because I noticed on though, as you however ansagte who ironic that "Laugh about it" sang there, but then I was surprised. Who here has heard already as a non-Dutch people from "Racoon"? That the overwhelming success that accompanies them in their home, not a one is, proves their new album "Another Day", which I then quickly listened to the relevant music store of my choice and forcibly rose.
The opening track "Happy Family" convinced me not really. But from the second pulsating "Hero in Town", followed by her fragile, though native hit, "Love You More" and that very melancholic cheerful "Laugh about it", the disc had me captivated. The acoustic impression of their songs is transformed in the second half sometimes a little more into the subtle electric guitar lastigere, which here is one "king size" for me the highlights.
Comparisons with "REM" are perhaps a little too much of a good, rather remember "Racoon" of bands like "Toad The Wet Sprocket" or the "Counting Crows" - in approaches may also be "Life" in the temperate moments.
For fans of the predominantly acoustic Folkpops or -rocks a real find! How often do you get while listening to a little-known disc feel at such genius to have a share.
